The Smokies

Sunday morning we headed over to the smokies and came upon us on a billboard ( Yogi n Boo Boo). So we had to stop and pose with it.=] The family shot was taken just below New Found Gap in the Smokies.

We went to this restraunt called Grizzly Grill which is connected to the Smoky Falls Lodge. The food there was so delicious, it was like eating at Sonny's Barbeque Pit in Orlando, Florida. Which by the way is one of my favorite restraunts. If you ever visit Maggie Valley you will have to stop by this restraunt. You won't be sorry I promise!

Skiing at Cataloochee in NC

We just finished a full weekend in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. We took the kids skiing at the Cataloochee Ski Resort. We did the evening ski which turned out the be the best time to ski. It was the boys first time and they did really good. Jonathan was starting to think that he was becoming a pro at it. We had a wonderful time and no one ended up in the emergency room. YEA!!!

This is Cindy after visiting the vet to be bathe in October. Isn't she beautiful! We love you Cindy!!

Want to hear something freaky! I went to write on the calender the day that Cindy died and could not believe what I read for that same day. Joy our cat had died on that same day 3 years ago! Is that weird or what!! And both of them died in the morning hours. Joy was 18 years old. She was my first baby. Cindy was about 11 years old, but we had her for almost 9 years. And we gave her the best 9 years of her life!!!

Yesterday we had to say good bye to a long time friend of almost 9 years. I was taking her to the vet for a normal check-up. You know nails trim, teeth cleaned and her up to date shots. What we though was a bad tooth ended up being a melanoma tumor on the back of her tongue. They said that there was no cure for her. So, Richard and I had to make a very hard decision yesterday. And worst part was having to tell our kids. I appreciate everyone praying for them yesterday. Please keep the kids in your prayers. It's hard not seeing her in our home. We miss you Cindy!!!

Snow Days

There's nothing better than building a snowman in the snow. They got build 2 snowmans in one weekend.

Time has gotten away from me. I wanted to have this posted already. Jonathan and David made their nephews a treasure hunt map through the woods. All of the boys had fun.

My Daddy!

This is my dad, Jim Bickers. The most amazing person you would ever want to meet!! February 18th is the anniversary of when my daddy met the Lord face to face. What an amazing sight that had to be! It's been 6 years for us but for my dad it's only been seconds that he's been in eternity. I miss him so much!! But one day we will be together again and for eternity! I LOVE YOU DAD SO MUCH AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!!! But until then, we will continue the journey that the Lord has us on.

Cousins

We had a hard time trying to get the Medlin family together. This is as close to a family picture that we could get. Even then, I had to take a picture of Sandy with Uncle Richard because Sandy had to leave for work. This is our famous Medlin tree. All the grandkids loved to climb it when they were little.....and still do. This will probably be the last picture of the grandkids in this tree.

Memories of December 2006

We got to go home for Christmas and had the pleasures of seeing a lot of our friends and families. I am sorry for the friends that we didn't get to see. We just didn't have enough days left. So many to see and little time to do so! We had so much fun being with everyone. We miss you all so much!!!! We Love You Guys!!!!!!!!!!
