Feb. 27, 08 Lunch in Nashville with Daddy

Here we are driving into Nashville as it snows.
You can't even see the tall building. Usually you can see the Bat Building from here. Hey, does that sign on the left say Huntsville/Memphis? =]
Can you see the snow flakes? The Bat Building. Took this as we got right up on it.
This was taken just down the road from the Bat Building..it started to snow harder.
David and I had to run to the bank (which is in the same building but had to go outside to get to it) and when we came out it started to drop big snow flakes.
Smile David! =]
Smile mom! =] Yes! It's very cold!! 24 degrees!
Eating lunch with Daddy. From the left, David, Rebekah, Jonathan, Richard, and me. Sarah had to work this afternoon.={
This is how hard Richard works....look closer. That is a chest board. =]
This is the view of downtown Nashville while it was snowing. Normally you can see for miles. We are on the top floor..27th floor.
A view down on the city.
Not a good day for sightseeing.
The Tennessee Titans stadium across the river. You can barely see it.
This is the view of the riverfront and Nashvilles Hard Rock Cafe'.
A closer look of Hard Rock Cafe'. I feel for those guys working down there.
This is the Sommet Center where the Preditors play(hockey team).
This is the Ryman Theatre. Different country singers will sing here.
This building looks like a piano and it's called the Country Music Hall A Fame.
Awwww, a break from the snow. Now you can see what the view looks like on a cloudy day. =]
This is what it looks like when it is snowing....

and this is what it looks like when it isn't. I think I can see the sunshine.
This is a view of a swimming pool on top of this building which has condo's and offices in it.
And this is the building that it is connected too. =] Pretty! Maybe I should bring my binoculars this summer.
God answered Rebekah's prayer! She finally got a car! And not just any car, the type of car that she wanted! God does answer prayers. This is a testamony of that. =] Do you hear that mom? Be specific on what kind of car you want.=]
Here is Sarah doing what she loves to do....talk on the phone with her friends. Either that or texting. =]
Well, I guess I better get off the computer. Rebekah said she wants on NOW!!! =] Just kidding. =] lol I hope you enjoyed you tour of Nashville in the snow flurries. =]

We Finally Got Some SNOW 2-13-08

As we went to bed on Tuesday night we were getting rain all day and then it turned into sleet in the evening. I was hoping that school would be cancelled. Mainly because Rebekah has been sick with a bad cold-chest, head congestion and a bad cough.
We woke up on Wednesday morning and SCHOOL WAS CANCELLED!! YEA!! Due to ice being on the roads. Richard usually leaves for work at 6:15am. But since we couldn't see what the roads were like he went in 2 hours late. Slept in!! I look like I just woke up in the picture! Richard thought he would take a picture of me. Whoohoo!
I drive Richard up to a meeting place by the interstate and he rides the rest of the way into Nashville with a friend. Who at this point took the opportunity to scrape some more ice off his windshield.
It started to snow as we left the house.
Cool pic of the road behind me. =]
country roads, I love them!
On my way back home from droping Richard off.
A creek near the house.
Part of our woods,
The house as I pulled up the driveway.

Some pretty birds digging for food. They love it when it snows.
Isn't she beautiful! =]
Our woods in the winter with more snow!
Nala playing in the snow.
David and Jonathan ready to play in the snow.
We didn't get a lot, but it still was fun to play in.
Jump, jump,jump
Ohhh, David got Jonathan...
Jonathan got David back...
Our woods again as the snow started to drop.
David sport'n the gator hat.

Sarah getting into the car...or trying to0. Her doors were iced over. haha
Jonathan and David cleaned her windows off for her.
The older the boys get, the more ways they find to have fun. David surfing on the snow. You never can take the Florida boy out of them. lol
Jonathan trying to surf on the snow.
David blowing the snow. lol He's having fun!
Jonathan laying on the surf board. haha As you can see, it doesn't matter how much snow we get, we still know how to have fun!! =]
