June 13, 2011 Stand up for those who can't!! Sgt. Kevin B. Balduf

The start of our morning began on June 13, 2011. Today we stood with others to provide privacy and dignity to the family of Marine Sergeant Kevin B. Balduf's funeral, to be a human barrier between his family and the idiots who think a funeral is an appropriate venue for a protest. He stood guard for our country and we stood proud to stand guard for him today.
Westboro Church believes that they should protest at every military funeral. They come with signs that shows the opposite of what God tells us to do.

The extremists consisted of 2 women and 1 boy around 16 yrs of age. Their signs read, You will eat your babies, Your mercies are cruel, Thank God for dead soldiers, Destruction is eminent, God hates your feelings.

I'm not sure where they read that in their book but my God says judge not for you will be judge.

A veteran getting off a bus to help support Kevin's family.

It started out by us parking down the road at a church and riding in the back of an ambulance to our point of destination.

We got there around 10am, funeral service begins at 2:15pm. The extremist are expected to arrive around 2:15 and stay till 3:00 pm when the family will drive by. We got there early to get our spot on the side of the road. It was such a fun day! People were driving by and honking their horns in support.

Here is one now. =)

Making friends with those around us.

The church is up on the hill.

Some of the men standing on the hill in front of the church.

And here they come!!! The FREEDOM RIDERS!! There were somewhere around 300 to 500 bikers. This was such an awesome sight!

Still coming

A close look of the bikers.

Some of Kevin's Marine friends.

Mount Patrol

The extremist from Westboro Baptist church getting out of their car. Woman in blue shirt, boy with an black and orange backpack.

This is not the way to show others Gods love and mercy.

Not sure what type of baptist they are but they are not from the God I've come to love.

Controlling the crowd. We were very peaceful and the police were very kind to us.

We even sung Jesus Love You to them.

I have to admit, when the extremist got out of their car we all ended up blocking 2 lanes of the road and stopped traffic. But we did step back and let one lane open back up. haha

You have to remember, even though the police had to do their jobs, some of them are also veterans and have also lost love one's in the battle. They to were having their families insulted.

Sarah with our friends Cailin and her husband who just got back from Afgan, Tyler and his little brother.

At the end of our long day we got to ride back to our car in a doublt decker party bus.

The view on the second level. =)
