Feb. 27, 08 Lunch in Nashville with Daddy

Here we are driving into Nashville as it snows.
You can't even see the tall building. Usually you can see the Bat Building from here. Hey, does that sign on the left say Huntsville/Memphis? =]
Can you see the snow flakes? The Bat Building. Took this as we got right up on it.
This was taken just down the road from the Bat Building..it started to snow harder.
David and I had to run to the bank (which is in the same building but had to go outside to get to it) and when we came out it started to drop big snow flakes.
Smile David! =]
Smile mom! =] Yes! It's very cold!! 24 degrees!
Eating lunch with Daddy. From the left, David, Rebekah, Jonathan, Richard, and me. Sarah had to work this afternoon.={
This is how hard Richard works....look closer. That is a chest board. =]
This is the view of downtown Nashville while it was snowing. Normally you can see for miles. We are on the top floor..27th floor.
A view down on the city.
Not a good day for sightseeing.
The Tennessee Titans stadium across the river. You can barely see it.
This is the view of the riverfront and Nashvilles Hard Rock Cafe'.
A closer look of Hard Rock Cafe'. I feel for those guys working down there.
This is the Sommet Center where the Preditors play(hockey team).
This is the Ryman Theatre. Different country singers will sing here.
This building looks like a piano and it's called the Country Music Hall A Fame.
Awwww, a break from the snow. Now you can see what the view looks like on a cloudy day. =]
This is what it looks like when it is snowing....

and this is what it looks like when it isn't. I think I can see the sunshine.
This is a view of a swimming pool on top of this building which has condo's and offices in it.
And this is the building that it is connected too. =] Pretty! Maybe I should bring my binoculars this summer.
God answered Rebekah's prayer! She finally got a car! And not just any car, the type of car that she wanted! God does answer prayers. This is a testamony of that. =] Do you hear that mom? Be specific on what kind of car you want.=]
Here is Sarah doing what she loves to do....talk on the phone with her friends. Either that or texting. =]
Well, I guess I better get off the computer. Rebekah said she wants on NOW!!! =] Just kidding. =] lol I hope you enjoyed you tour of Nashville in the snow flurries. =]

Feb. 27, 08 It's a Snowy Day!

I took some pictures in the woods with snow before it all started to melted. This is my birdbath. It has frozen water with snow on top of it.
The trail as you leave the woods.

This is a big rock with a little one on it.
I thought this was pretty.
This came out pretty good.
Our campsite where we make our smor's.
The trees with some snow on them.
The trail going into the woods. I did my pictures backwards again.

February 27,08 School is Cancelled!

My pictures are a little backwards. The boys decided to just see how cold it was this morning. It was about 23 degrees this morning.
They are so crazy!
When they came into the house, they could not feel their feet.
This is our photo spot.
This is what I saw when I woke up this morning. =]
Here is that woodpecker I was trying to get a picture of.
Isn't this cute?! =]
The woodpecker in flight. He kept eatting the corn that I had out for the deer. This was taken on Monday. It was a little warmer than it has been and all the little critters were very active.
I think he was trying to get a better look at us. =]
I love my finches! They make some pretty sounds.

February 24, 2008 They're getting brave.

My post is backwards. Your starting from the end of this post which is actually at the end of this post. Anyhow, we have had like 3 different kinds of woodpeckers visiting the feeder lately. Here is one, the Hairy Woodpecker.
This one has an orange-red head look. I think it's a Red-bellied Woodpecker. I couldn't get a picture of the other one. He's a Pileated Woodpecker and he is BIG!!
And yes, more deer pictures. I just can't get enought of these guys. They are so cute to watch. This one is stretching or just posing for me. =]
I thought this was a neat picture. Focused on the closer deer as the other one is eatting in the background.

Here's a full view of all 4 deer. We have about 3 different herds so far that I have seen.
I love my birds. This is either some type of a finch or sparrow. He's next to the finch feeder.
They are getting a little more brave.
This one kept getting closer to the house.
The bird on the feeder is a Carolina Chickadee. And the one on top of the post is a Tufted Titmouse.
One of my favorite pics.
This is just as they came to the house. These 4 guys showed up just after we ate dinner today. I just hung up with my sister when these cuties came by. This is another herd. It looks like a mom with 3 babies.
I love his stance. I give him a 10. =]
This is really close to my windows. He came and drunk some water out of the little feeder. Thank goodness it rained last night or it would had been empty.
Oh my goodness! He is getting closer! This was another herd that came by just after we got home from church. These 2 are what I call Juniors. Just old enough to travel without mom.
