On Jan. 22,2008 Elephants

This evening Richard, Jonathan and I went to watch Barnum and Bailey's parade their elephants down the road as the opening of the circus.
This guy the one of the clowns but not just any clown. He is the head, the leader of all the clowns. A really cool guy to talk to.

These are some of the horses that perform in the circus.
Here are some more. I would have had more pictures of the elephants but the batteries in my flash was low. There were eleven elephants.

Jan. 16, 2008 Jumpstart for the new year...

At&t had a meeting /outting to jumpstart the new year out.
After the meeting / skit they all got to enjoy some time of playing video games or bowling at the Opry Mill.

For the skit Richard played the part as Elvis.
Looks pretty good!

It's Campfire Time..Jan. 12,2008

This is Jonathan's marshmellow. He's trying to see how burnt he can make it.

JAN. 8,2008 Christmas of 2007 is over

I know I'm a little behind in my postings.
Don't you just hate it when it's time to take all the decorations down and the beautiful Christmas tree?! That's what I did after the kids went back to school. On Jan. 8th I pulled all the totes out and loaded them back up to store in the barn for another year!

I love my real Christmas tree. Sad that I have to take it outside to die.
Some of my favorite ornaments. Rebekah told me that it's time to update our ornaments and put away the old ones- the old one that have a lot of sentiments with them! Maybe when she has her own kids she will understand. =]

Dec. 07 Sarah's visit to Florida

Sarah sent me some pictures while she's in Florida through her phone. This is her flying to Orlando. Isn't she beautiful! =]
This is Cocoa Beach...they were having a red sea day. Red sea is when seaweed and dead fish come to shore. But it's still beautiful!

Here's Sarah on Cocoa Beach. Not far from where we use to go camping all the time.

Here is Sarah and Amber having fun hanging out. They went and got their nails done. This was Amber's 19th birthday. :] Sarah is having a lot of FUN!! =]

December 2, 2008 WINTER IS HERE!!

NO MORE SHORTS!!!!
NO MORE PLAYING IN THE WATER!!!

IT"S WINTER HERE!! Here's a little bird enjoying the snow showers that we got this morning.
Yes, we got to wake up to snow showers. The birds were so excited, they were flying everywhere!
It was so beautiful.
We go to Florida and enjoyed some 75 to 80 something weather and wearing tank shirts. To going back home to Tennessee and getting hit by some cold artic air that's coming through. Our temp has been around 24-28 for the high with winds to make it feel colder. And our evenings are down at 12-15. This morning when Richard left for work it was 10 degrees. BRRRR Of course, that's nothing compared to what my brother is experiencing. They have about 4 feet of snow! Lucky them! Winter is definitely here!

A quick visit in Yankeetown, Florida 12-26-07

Richard, David and Jonathan standing on the dock at the house. This is the Withlacoche River (spell?) which dumps you into the Gulf coast.
Jonathan, David, and Ben trying to get a gators attention with a fish that they caught earlier. David is holding the fish.

Here's a view of the house from one side of the yard.
This is one of the shrimp boats that you will see either going out in the evening (which this one is doing) or coming in from the gulf in the mornings.
We got to spend some time with Richard's parents. This is taken after we had done a bunch of cleaning.
Granddaddy playing in the water again! He likes to tease the gators. jk But there are a lot of gators in this river.
Here are some coots at a different lake. I thought this was funny looking.
We took a break from working on the pontoon boat and took the boys to a lake to do some fishing.
We also got to see Connie and her family. Frank, Connie, Richard, and me.
This is only HALF of the cousins. David, Ben, Jonathan, and Jenny.
Some of the crew! =]
This is the view of the house from the river side. Which is actually the front of the house.
And this is the front of the house.
And this is the reason that we came to Florida, seeing family was a bonus! =]
She might not be much to look at right now but wait till this summer. This boat was a lot to pull even with our truck. We drove back home at 60 65 mph. And one BIG mountain we had to climb and come down. Down hill was 4 miles long and very steep. Richard did a really good job, of course. =]
Here are some turtles basking in the sun..or trying too.
Jonathan playing with his gun. NO animals were harmed!
Jonathan getting some time of fishing in.
David trying to catch a gator.
I thought this was pretty.
My first morning there I got to see and otter
and a small baby gator. COOL!! =]
